Blue Box Sailing was set up in 2003, in order to enable anyone the chance to sail aboard a professional Ocean Race Yacht. Whitbread 60's and other pedigree Ocean Race Yachts are normally only crewed by professional sailors, at the pinnacle of their careers.

We wanted to offer everyone the chance to experience the excitement and unique thrill that these sailing machines offer. In 2004 trips aboard RIB Bluesprint were added to the range of experiences we offer. Our focus lies in offering hands-on experiences aboard fast, exciting and special vessels.

In late summer 2007 we added Clipper 60 Taeping to our fleet, allowing us to offer more sailing experience days out, including the new entry level experience, Introduction to Sailing.

We aim to ensure that there is an atmosphere of equality aboard all our boats and believe that neither age, sex, ability nor experience should affect the opportunities available to crew members.

We encourage everyone to take an active role in their trip with us, from driving RIB Bluesprint at speeds of up to 50 mph, to taking a turn on the “coffee grinders” aboard Whitbread 60 Blueprint.
